Point Arena PierPoint Arena became a small city when it was a logging town in the late 1800's. Today, with a population of less than 500, it is a local center for shopping, the arts, enjoying nature, hospitality, and education. The pier at the Point Arena Cove is a working pier for commercial fishing, but also provides access for public boat launching and viewing sunsets. Near the pier you will find shops, restaurants, and inns. You can also enjoy the beaches and tide pools. The pier is always open to the public, but boat launch hours vary so call 707-882-2583 for the current schedule. You'll find food, accommodations, and sundries in the center by the pier:
Dining, shopping and hotels: Fishermen and surfers getting an early start can get cappuccino at Cover Coffee, and even bait and tackle.
Pizzas and Cream offers gourmet pizza and Italian-style food, plus a wine and beer bar. Dupont's Mendocino Mercantile carries necessities and souvenirs. |
